About

I qualified as a Counsellor and integrative Psychotherapist B.A. hons in 2011 and have been in private practice since. As an integrative psychotherapist I am trained to draw on a number of modalities to help you e.g. Person centred, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Object relations, Internal family systems, mindfulness etc to name but a few. I trained as a bereavement counsellor with the Bereavement Counselling Service Dublin and have over twenty years’ experience in this area. I also trained as a group facilitator and I facilitate bereavement groups in Clonakilty. I have completed the H.S.E Assist course.

I have had the pleasure and privilege of working as a special needs assistant in a boy’s national school for over ten years. The children in my care taught me so much about kindness patients being real and genuine, and that true compassion is a verb!

My approach is humanistic and practical. Through my own life experience, academic learning and indeed many hours working with clients I firmly believe that we all have our own unique inner wisdom and ability to heal, so I fully respect where you are coming from with your particular issue and your life challenges.

I am an accredited member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) I adhere to their code of ethics.
I also comply with the governments Children’s First guidelines.
